2120

2120 is a Montréal-based mod-rock trio that boldly reimagines the sounds of the 1970s, blending them with contemporary psych-pop, soul, and R&B influences. Born in the cafés and live music venues of Montréal’s Mile End, the band quickly stood out through its distinctive visual identity, refined musicianship, and the contagious energy of its live performances.

Founded in Sherbrooke in 2015 by brothers Maxime and Gabriel Blackburn, and later joined by vocalist Billy St-Onge, 2120 has developed a sound that is both nostalgic and unmistakably modern. Backed by a rapidly growing social media community, the trio continues to captivate audiences with its unique aesthetic and authentic artistic vision.

In 2022, the band released its debut album, 2120 In Spectacular Physical Health, produced by Jace Lasek (Arcade Fire, SUUNS). Warmly received by critics, the album showcased the band’s remarkable musicianship and Billy St-Onge’s distinctive voice, often compared to those of James Brown and David Bowie.

After making its mark on Québec’s music scene—including a standout performance at the Festival d’été de Québec—2120 reached a new milestone in 2024 with its first European tour. Performing in Paris, Lille, Brussels, and Strasbourg, the band won over French-speaking audiences and confirmed its international potential with several sold-out shows.

As its momentum continues to grow on both sides of the Atlantic, 2120 is currently preparing the release of its highly anticipated second album, scheduled for 2026.
